Anyone with experience draining water belly

Sorry for posting about her in another thread but I think she has water belly. I understand that I may have to cull her but Id like to try draining first but I could really use a dumbed down step by step instruction for it. Ive only recently had to give goats injections and never poked a chicken. I have a 16 gauge needle but I might not have a helper till tomorrow and I don't know if she can wait that long. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Casportpony, Speckledhen, Two Crows, and other have experience and threads about draining for ascites. I haven't done it before, but some use the 16 gauge needle. Since BYC has redone their website, I cannot find certain threads easily to link here, but here is one:

Thank you thats just what I needed. Can't seem to find anything anymore. Going to try. I didnt think I could inject goats, or lance cysts, or check for eggbound or cut open a bumble foot and I've done it all now so poking her and draining some fluid should be a piece of cake right...... ugh I'm so squeamish.
