I've been searching everywhere for fertile pigeon/dove eggs, Parlor Rollers in particular, and the only (non-scam) reply I got was from a very nice person with Houbens. I don't know much about the breed, other than they are racing pigeons. Can anyone chime in with any information or personal experiences with these birds? Photos are more than welcome too. I really like their proportions and sleek look, but they were not a breed that was at the National pigeon show, so I haven't been able to see any in person and get a feel for them. In the future, I'd like to go with some of the Lahores and Modenas, they totally blew me away at the show, but for now, I'm thinking smaller. XD

Houbens are a nice strain of racers. The strains of homers aren't their own breeds, so you wouldn't be able to tell them apart from other homers unless you had a pedigree to look at. I have a few that I got from one of the best racers in our combine. He does very well with Houbens, Devriendts, and crosses of the two. Many other fliers I know of do well with them. They do well as distance birds.

I was wondering about that, if it was an actual breed or a strain. Couldn't find much of anything on them except that they supposedly fly pretty well. Thanks so much for shedding some more light on them!
