Anything I need to change with my duckling setup?

I have 15 ducklings. 9 Khaki Campbell and 6 runners. Just got them today. I put hay on the bottom with one small patch of wood shavings as well. They have water and duckling specific feed. I was thinking of puting them in a kiddie pool, not to swim of course but as a brooder. Is this a safe brooder for them? Does everything look good? (Other than the cup in the food, I will get a proper bottle for that)

That's not nearly big enough. You need about 6 sqft.

It is astounding how fast they grow.

You will be needing lots more space before they are ready for outside.

I second getting that kiddie pool out and starting them in that.

The speck in the right of the pool are call ducklings.

I add a deep water dish after they are a few days old, and a log, and a piece of dirt.

I love this picture you could pack 100 of them littles in that pool. And still have room

My 9 littles are only 11 days old. They have already graduated to a bigger feeder and waterer and I stopped food processing the Purina duck pellets a couple of days ago. They have no trouble eating them at all.

They grow before your eyes so I sure hope that you've got a bigger brooder plan!

I use a 6 foot diameter kiddie lined with puppy pee pads. At 4 weeks this was too small for 5 ducklings.
