Apartment Quail!

I'm in Florida, so it's warm enough outdoors year-round :)
Ah that’s different then! Sounds great as long as you can keep it dry because it rains like hell lol I just can’t believe how many people are like ’it’s literally freezing temperatures and my buttons are out in a plastic milk crate, will they be ok?’ and I’m like ’those poor tiny babies’.

That’s the appeal of them though. They’re hamster sized therefore you can find space for them indoors. I would feel mean leaving them outside anyway considering the sortof climate they’re from. I don’t even like the idea of chickens getting cold out in cooler climates considering their natural habitat.
Speaking of hamster sized.... VROOM! :wee

I’ve tried giving my cots a wheel, even started the introduction as very young chicks, no luck. I’ve seen experiments where wheels were left out and video’d and all sorts of birds, bugs, and critters ran on them, even a slug!

I would say that about 25% of my buttons figured it out, and others learned from them to bring the total percentage up to about 40-50-ish. :)

Keep a pair In Ur room so at night when u go to bed the male will do his it's bed time growl and you can have jungle noise to sleep too lol
I love the background chatter, even having two roos right next to me 24/7. They're pretty quiet now though because they're preening eachother in the dust bath again! I keep glancing over and feeling like I'm intruding.
