Apparent beak decay (?) in turkey poults

I use a white vinegar solution to clean their feeders and waterers, but I’ve always been thorough in rinsing them out with pure tap water. I do see them often pick through their shavings, but it is all pine so I don’t see how that could scratch them up

If you have them on wood shavings make sure you provide them with appropriately sized grit. They can eat wood shavings but cannot digest them unless they have grit in their system.
