Hello! We currently have 12 Buff Orpington hens that we raised from chicks last year - now this last week someone gave my son an Appenzeller-spitzhauben rooster as a gift! He is so pretty with the speckled feathers - I think he's 3 months old. We put them together today and they seem to be accepting each other pretty good, but I'm curious... are these two able to breed and what will the chicks look like? Has anyone else mixed these two breeds before? Anything new I'll need to learn now that we are adding a rooster to the flock?
