Appenzellor spitzhauben questions

I have 2 ss appenzellers just turned 8 weeks. I purchased them sexed as pullets. My question is one has the beginnings of a nice tail. The other is only showing black stub. Do you think her feathers are being pulled. Is she a he? Also can anyone tell if these are in facy hens. Thank you.

Hi, congrats on getting Spitzhaubens! I can see wattles on one, usually the boys get those first, around 7-8 weeks.... Here's an active Spitzhauben thread over 100 p long, we'd love to see updates there. And more close up shots of these youngsters....
