So I have heard alot of good about Apple cider vinegar mixed with water for my chickens. I have adult birds now and never did that when they were chicks and was wondering if I could do that with adult birds. Will it have the same benefits?

There is no scientific evidence that buying Apple Cider Vinegar to mix into your chickens water has any benefit of any kind for either man nor beast.

The only thing that is improved is the bank account of the owner of the Apple Cider Vinegar factory.

Regular pastureized apple cider vinegar(ACV) has little good qualities left. Whether you're looking for healthy probiotics or to help maintain fresher water (if its in a nipple watering system where they can't soil it) what you need is un pasteurized apple cider vinegar (up acv) with "the mother" you can buy this at Walmart or any health food store. It is slightly more expensive than traditional vinegar sold in gallon jugs, but once you buy one bottle of up acv with mother you can shake up the bottle to mix up the mother (the cloudy or viscous blob inside) and pour some in a big cheap jug of the pasteurized stuff the mother will grow and you'll be able to keep it going indefinitely. As far as the "proof" of benefits with acv, it is undeniable. Check out the OT (old timers) thread, or many others. Vinegar is awesome. :)
Check out fermented feed as well!
