Apple Cider Vinegar

Yep! I've done it since the day I brought them home, and I've never had a single incidence of disease or illness. I've even started adding it to the goat and donkey water! I've read that you should reduce or even eliminate ACV in the summer because it can impede their ability to absorb calcium. However, when I did that last year they all got diarrhea and soft eggshells. This year, I didn't stop and there has not been a single issue.

I'll definitely try adding it consistently. How often do you put it in there? I think I was doing a tbsp of ACV for every gallon of water. I only have two chickens.

I try to use it every time i refill their water - but I'm honestly pretty bad at keeping up with it - but when i do (around every third time i fill their waterer) , i put in 2 tbsp to their 2 gallon waterer, so your 1tbsp for 1 gallon is perfect! My chickens have also not had any illness, and i believe the ACV is the reason to thank for that :)
