Apple cider vinegar

I have done lots of research and I am wondering if apple cider vinegar is truly safe and healthy for my chickens? Has anyone ever given their chickens this in their water?

I have given it to mine, and it certainly didn't hurt them.

I gave it to my baby chicks when they had pasty butt at 1 week old. I've given it to them ever since. They are 3 mo. old now and doing GREAT.

I've never exposed my chickens to it, and they have done just fine without it.
Vinegar stays in my kitchen for cooking, and white vinegar for window washing.

That’s sounds like me! I was surprised to read that Apple cider vinegar was good for Bactria in chickens

Never really saw the point of giving my birds something that will lower there bodys calcium and potassium.
Vinegar of any type is a acid and over time that acid can cause a number of health problem including low blood pH, potassium deficiency, calcium deficiency, lower bone density etc.

Nobody talks about the starting pH of the water, or what changes when adding some amount of vinegar to it. 'Fantasy information' is what we're talking about here, not actual facts. Vinegar is cheap, but not relevant to their health, IMO, unless there's an attempt to actually cause their drinking water to be very acid, which would be a bad thing.
