Apples are listed as a treat for chickens. I cut out the seeds because they are toxic but do I need to peel them?

I buy apples in 3# to 5# bags and sometimes one is bruised or past prime.
I toss the whole apple in the pen and they devour everything.
Same with grapes, I toss them in whole.
Exceptions are avocado and citrus fruits.
I don't buy fruit for my chickens, but if a fruit is past its prime, but not rotten or moldy it goes to the chickens. GC

I've been known to buy apples in quantities larger than most do (for cider making).

My girls get ALL the scraps...seeds, skin, core, and flesh. Never had an issue.
