Has anyone gotten their chickens to eat spotted lantern flies? I have heard that some chickens will eat them and I know that bats are starting to eat them. It would be really nice if chickens did since the flies have killed an apple tree and a peach tree in my yard so far.

Gosh that's so sad they actually killed your trees. We haven't seen those here in Wisconsin, but we do have a variety of moths and the chickens and ducks chase them down, so I'd assume to a chicken or duck, a moth is a moth, and they'd go for those too.

Our battle for our trees is the Japanese beetles. Neem oil works but it helps immensly to spray the trees before they get here. You could try that. I just buy a bottle of Neem oil on Amazon and mix up a spray bottle of it.

I see there are traps you can buy for those too. We buy the ones for the Japanese beetles and it's gross how many wind up in those.
