Apples

Are apples okay for chickens? Ithink they are honey crisp apples.

I give mine apples... I do cut them up for them but they love them... doesn't seem to matter what kind they are

They're fine. Mine like them better hung up, though. Easier to eat that way.

Mine love them no matter the type. They eat them whole, sliced, diced, made into applesauce......whatever.

I blend mine up with some other goodies, my chickens are spoiled rotten!

We live in ag country so I buy apples by the huge 50# bag and each breeding pen probably gets 6 apples a day and the free ranging birds get all they want. For $5 a bag I can afford to feed them what they want. Peach season is the same, so is strawberries etc. Mine get a lot of fruit!

you feed them honey crisp? ooh....my favorite, they are VERY expensive here!
ADORE apples, I just threw mine a bunch last night...they like tomatoes even better...attracted to the red color!

I have a red delicious and a granny smith tree. The put out too many apples for me, my family, and my friends to eat, so the chickens and dogs get the rest.

Mine go nuts for apples, I bought a chicken treat ball from the feed store to feed them hanging apples like mentioned above
