Applying antiseptic ear solution to dog's ear?

I tried squirting antiseptic ear mite solution to my dogs ear but he hated it so much. Is there a better way of applying the liquid? Can I just wet a cotton ball with it and rub the ear with it, or will this not work as good?

LOL. Because when my dog has ear mites I take him to the vet and I follow their instructions. I'm not a Veterinarian and I don't trust my dogs health to random people online.

Squirt it in it's ear. Massage it. And see what happens.

What did the directions say? Ear mites can cause infection and hearing loss if not treated correctly. Good luck.

You should be able to use the cotton ball method perfectly fine just be sure to sanatize your hands before and after ^-^

Some medications have to be administer a very specific way to work. If you intend to do something other than the instruction provided with the product then yes, it is very wise to consult a vet, it would likely be as simple as a quick phone call.
