22 weeks old next Monday and still no eggs from the leghorns.
The waiting is no fun.... I'm at 16 weeks and 19 weeks for my 6 chickens and no eggs either
Hopefully it will be soon for both of us!!
If y'all are in the northern hemisphere......
.....it may take a bit longer of onset of lay to happen during these short days.
Unless you have set up supplemental lighting a couple months ago.
So to be clear - my Morans started laying at 6 months, seemed to have a "light" molt shortly after, and have not layed since. Now it is November, shorter days etc. From what I am reading it is possible they will not lay again till Spring?
It has been 23 weeks for my chicks. I had a very aggressively sexual EE roster, he never stopped. He became soup, the flock of 26 has settled down a lot. Each rooster seems to have their own herem. But still No Eggs. Any ideas
22 weeks is early anyway... the eggs will come!
X3, especially at this time of year with the shortening days. My hens are at 26 weeks and I am still waiting for most of them to start laying.
