To each their own I guess. :idunno Personally, I don't want to have to treat them more than once, so I will use permethrin, ivermectin, or both.

Note that ivermectin is not labeled for use in poultry so it has an egg and meat withdrawal.

Neither DE or garlic spray are going to do much against mites.

Actually this spray is extremely effective at killing mites, and I’m very pleased with it. All the chickens that I have used it on were mite free within 2 days of application (I never had a major infestation of mites so that may be why it is so effective for me).
