April 2010 Pullets- wanna wait with me?

I have 11 pullets hatched on April 21st. I don't expect any eggs from them until the first of November.

I had 13 but I'm selling two of the wheaten pullets today for $70. It's great when they are purebred.

I got day old my leghorn on April 20, I lost track of how old my EE's are since I got them older. they are squatting, mating and have checked out the nest. I can't stand the wait. I bet you any kind of money they are waiting till we go on our vacation

Our April 24th MPC pullets are still holding out. Some have had their combs go from pink to deep red in the past few weeks. They are "practicing" in the nest boxes but no egg songs yet.

I am hoping that we will see something from them before the end of the month.

All I know is I was up late on BYC on the recent posts thread and found myself reading up on a delicious sounding fried chicken recipe on an empty stomach... NOT GOOD!

I got FOUR eggs from my five pullets!!! in three days!!!

My March pullets have started to lay, I get two eggs from 5 of them. My April pullets have very red combs and wattles and are looking very ready to start to lay, especially my barred rocks, they're squatting for the roo and for two weeks now so I'm expecting them to start laying! My egg count each week is really increasing!

My BR has been squatting for me for the last two days. She has been looking ready for awhile. I'm expecting her to be first...
