We have our first pip on the first batch of 14. This is my first time hatching anything, so needless to say, I can't stop watching... how am I going to get work done today?

LOL, seriously! I'm not sure what I am going to do on Friday when my second batch are hatching, and I'm gone ALL DAY LONG!!!

Ok... been trying to get myself and kid together all morning to go out and feed everyone. Because we want to check and see if anyone is pipped yet!

Trying to not get over excited, but if we have a hatch... you know we want to sit there and watch and look and waste the day out in the coop.

Wish us luck, because I'm supposed to be working today on my dirty icky house.

Hooray.... look what I found in the coop this morning:

I got rid of my buff rooster back at the beginning of March, somehow he still had a mix going on with my black silkies it appears. I was hoping for some white with my new roo I've had since last fall.... but no white chicks yet!

We'll see what hatches in the incubator out of town over the weekend.

Recently I just had the best hatch I've EVER had......all 33 eggs actually hatched!!! I'm still amazed......actually somewhat in shock(LOL).I kept the humidity on the lower end.......
