Has anyone used Aptive for mosquito or general bug control? They're supposedly environmentally friendly, but I can't tell if the stuff is safe to use around chickens. Apparently the pesticide is derived from chrysanthemums. https://goaptive.com/faq

you got to watch their food and water. id say run areas where they scratch, and the birds themselves .. i spray the coop and the bushes down behind the garage and around the coop with bifen .. the ground to in outlying areas around it, just let it dry, have food and water removed .. i do it when theyre out ranging, the sprayer pretty much freaks them out anyway .. but it knocks everything down, fleas, mites, gnats, flies, skeeters .. lasts pretty much a couple months then things slowly creep back up, then hit it again ... never had any issues, not even spraying the coop .. just as mentioned, i wouldnt spray the run or ground theyre eating from ..
