I'm really enjoying these crosses. They are super-cute, and look like they're going to be very nice dual purpose birds, and pretty to look at. My incubator's full, and I'm getting more eggs than I can handle--even with the help of seven dogs!
The hens are Buff Orpingtons, as well as a couple of Marans that were culled from my black copper Marans flock for cosmetic flaws.
The roosters are 2 BC Marans that were culled from the Marans flock due to cosmetic flaws (but they are stunning--just not correct to standard), one Buff Orp, and one Cree Farm splash Ameraucana. So you have the possibility of three different crosses, plus two different purebreds.
