Arabian Mares

I know someone who has 2 mares....one of them is 12 yrs old...the other 17 yrs old. She said they come from great breeding lines..and needs to sell them. She can no longer take care of them. She rescued them from a man that takes them to slaughter. I have not seen these mares, but she assures me they are filling in nicely. They were emaciated when she got them. The 12 yr old, she wants $400, and the 17 yr old she wants $300. She said just enough to recover the cost of feed.
Anyone interested in saveing these old ladies?? She said she will get me the list of thier backrounds, and I believe they have papers on them.

I'd love them, but I think my dh would shoot me. He says I need another horse like I need a hole in my head. Honestly if I were closer, I would take a closer look. Good luck.
