I have an almost 2 week old aracauna that has been developing a pretty severe cross beak. She still looks healthy and seems to be growing, but it does look like she struggles to eat. I've been doing some research on this forum, so I am planning on trimming her beak and we have been giving her mash.

My main concern right now though is that she chirps CONSTANTLY, and rather loudly. When she first started doing this I got pretty worried but it seems to just be a consistent thing with her. She also tends to not lay down when the other chicks do but remains standing.

Mine has a lot of trouble eating. She has to have really deep feed so she can practically stick her whole face down into it to be able to get the feed into her mouth. She may be hungry. The water must also be deeper for mine to drink.

Could there be anything related to the cross beak and not sitting. Do other people cross beaks chirp all the time. I think she actually bugs her broodmates sometimes!
