but I can see how that could become a problem, kinda like the frizzle cochin gene thing... I have a crazy looking black cochin that is the ugliest thing I've ever seen!
 
Mine aren't bearded, but I'm getting some bearded chicks to breed into my lines.

You do realize that araucana should not be bearded in the US? They have ear tufts, as pictured. They do not have muffs and beards. Just wanted to make sure you understand what an araucana is, especially with all the misinformation out there on this breed.

Do you have pics of your birds? I'd love to see them.
