You do realize that araucana should not be bearded in the US? They have ear tufts, as pictured. They do not have muffs and beards. Just wanted to make sure you understand what an araucana is, especially with all the misinformation out there on this breed.
Do you have pics of your birds? I'd love to see them.

thank you, I thought I was reading about using tailed birds to keep the backs from getting to short. I believe I read that if they get to short breeding is nearly impossible.
