Ok so I have raised young Galoop from a chick and am a little concerned that she might actually be a he. More than concerned actually, There appear to be many signs that Galoop is a Rooster (Coloring, Shiny feathers, Rooster looking tail...)
Galoop is an Araucana or Easter Egger as some have suggested to me when asking this question at a younger age. I bought him / her as an Araucana chick.
Galoop was born in the first 2 weeks of December last year so he/she is around the 4 months old mark, There has been no crowing or attempting to mount or harass the other 8 hens in my coup, although all of the other hens, except for one, are at least 4 to 6 months older than Galoop.
Any thoughts after viewing the below pictures would be great. I know you never really know until they crow but the signs sort of point to Rooster to me at this stage but I thought I may have heard a crow of some sort by now.
Thanks for any feedback!
