Hi everyone. I'm guessing this topic had been done to death, but specific observations are always unique.

I candelled the six eggs last night and attached is a photo of one egg. They are all similar or darker. Day 7. Is this typical or is something wrong? They are in a Brinsea mini II advance.

Thanks!

Can you turn the egg upside down and shine the light through the wide end of the egg?
Hi, I gave that a go some were dark at that end, some gave more light through the egg. It's almost like something is coating part of the inside of the egg.

Can you take pictures? That is easier to tell if they are good.

I took a few more pictures tonight with them around the other way. Still pretty tough to see sorry, and the camera struggled. I tried two torches, both pretty strong LED Lenser models, one ~500 lumens, the other 1000+ so I don't think lack of light is an issue? The attached photos are of two of the six.

I read somewhere that you can smell them going bad, but nothing detectable with a sniff test! Just a really unexpected result with the extreme dark/light patches.

Does the interior move as you turn it? Looks like mine do when they never develop and have just basically been cooking under a mama for a couple days

No, I was looking for that but couldn't see it. Though my experience is nil. It seems pretty indecisive. I don't think things are right, but might just leave them until day 14 and then see. I presume by then they should be all dark if there's a chick and It'll be obvious if things have changed. Hopefully they wont explode by then if they are bad!
