When I first saw the Araucana, it was love at first sight. Now one year later, the heart is reconsidering. This breed, at least what I see in my flock of nine, has some issues that don't fit well into my criteria of productive retirement eccentricity. Alas, then I read about the Collonca and love was rekindled. Roosters that don't fight, blue eggs, no tufts to kill off embryos, but still rumpless... how to get there?
