No, cull does not outright mean butcher, simply removing from the herd or flock. Technically you could cull him by placing him in a different pen

I did. I had a double tufted rooster who was partially tailed. I wasn't going to breed him to my true araucana, plus he was a project color... he was paint. A fox nabbed him, unfortunetly.

Well, River still isn't fertile, or the roo doesn't like her. 6 Bresse chicks hatched over the weekend. 2 never developed, and 17 died before hatch day, so I have to remove them tonight.
