Araucana thread anyone?

By the way, regarding the breeding goals discussion, I'm officially hoping to bring in a blue cockerel to go with Lola. I like her coloring and I think I'm going to head in that direction. So if anyone ends up wanting to part with a rumpless blue boy, do let me know. I practice bribery and I specialize in tasty baked chocolate treats (no harm sweetening the deal).

Cathy, thank you, ma'am. That could work very well, as I am still getting my facilities squared away. (Speaking of facilities, it drives me crazy when people suggest I cram my birds into some closet in my garage. Who wants to be crammed, first of all? And second of all, the facilities are as much for me/my convenience as they are for the poultry. Sheesh.)

I was looking at my chicks today and I think I have two maybe 3 crele colored birds. I will get pics later today. They are barred. The barring on the neck is gold and the barring on the body is black. It is pretty interesting looking. Of course they are out of my dominant araucana white roo and my tanish pink egg laying bbr with columbian gene araucana hen. I think one of the chicks that is double tufted is going to turn out that color also. It is looking to be a roo. HMMM!! Should be fun to watch them change as they grow.

Oh, you're killing me!! Where did you get the girls from? I think that a black tufted rooster would also make you some beautiful blue babies, if that's what your goal is.
Good luck!
