Welcome to chickens and the wonderful Araucana Roselyn. I hope you get some to hatch.
Norma,
I hope you have a good hatch.
Everyone happy hatching. I had a transformer blow two fuses last week just as last weeks batch started to pip. The power was out for 6 hours. My husband was out of town and I couldn't get the generator to work. We are going to have a learning lesson on it as soon as he gets back. Only 1 of ten eggs hatched. I am amazed that the one did. I am hopeing against the odd that the eggs in the incubator were not affected.
Oh well on a happy note, I have built 3 new breeding pens. They are 8X8, and I have moved 3 of my quads in and they all seem very happy. I want to build a few more. They weren't too expensive and they are portable in the sense that they are easily taken apart, moved, and put back together.

It's too early to start worrying (but I know it's impossible not to
). Sometimes I don't hear a thing out of an entire 60 incubated eggs until that first chick is out; but that does always scare the bezeebies out of me - I know it's madness waiting those last hours! Good luck.

Oh no! I dread the day something similar happens here - I have literally had dreams about loosing incubators full of developing eggs. I'm so sorry Lanae. That chicks that made it out has got to be tough - just what you want to have in your breeding birds. Post pics of the little survivor when you get a chance and here's to hoping for the rest of that batch of eggs.
Just wanted to post a pic of my only Aruacana to survive out of sixteen eggs I had shipped to me. She and her brother were the only two that hatched. Her brother was tailed and no tufts. He passed away a few weeks ago. I have to say this little pullet is my favorite bird I have. She runs to have me pick her up. She is growing up with some Jersey Giants and doing quite well. She is about nine weeks old. Now if only she had some tufts...
I found Wheaten bantams (ABA BB Reds) that are lovely, but I want more of a color variety. If I can find Blue or Splash bantams, I plan to breed towards a Blue Wheaten Araucana.
If not though... LF might just become my "only" option.
