Araucana thread anyone?

I just put my 3 large fowl half Araucana chicks for sale, on the auction pages if anyone is interested. Fully rumpless, out of blue eggs by blue egg parents. 2 months old now. They were held back to keep but I decided I wanted the only ones laying blue eggs here to be my true, purebred Araucana's. I'm selling my Ameraucana/EE's as well to leave only my 4 Maran hens and I think I will be able to tell the difference in the eggs

I would hope

I only have Araucana roosters so the Maran eggs will be my table eggs and I can collect pretty blue eggs for hatching this way. I really hate to see them go, they're sooo cute. If they don't sell, I guess I'll be building another pen

I'd love to see them mature but I need them to sell more....

No I was wondering why they get a third tuft in odd places.

I figured the tuft picking was jealousy. LOL!

Lanae wish i could answer that question, but they just are like that, some high on the face some low on the face and then odd ball places. large and small sizes..

Yes i guess it could be tuft envy.. lol

Well The lav's I bought off of ebay, from HinkJC poultry which is I Think is Wilds of pa on this forum.
I don't know a whole lot about whose who yet because I'm new, But I've lurked around for info for awhile,
I'm thinking my guess work/experimentation comes when I move to the new house. Starting with trying to sterilize and refurbish the monster 72 nest box, 3 section coop. then comes predator proofing, fixing the run, covering the run, getting my state of the art chicken alarm system working (guinea fowl)(corny I know), and then moving my babies out. Any tips or info on doing these feats would be Greatly appreciated!
Thanks,
Tyler
