I posted in the Americana thread too, pics at the above link (have uploading issues intermittently for whatever reason).
A BYC member acquired eggs from a breeder sold as Araucana. I think they might be legit Araucanas but I'm a complete newbie to the finer points of chicken morphology. The one I focused on in the pics is the lightest of your but they all are blue (except maybe that one- is it? It is much lighter and has those light "eyebrows" where the other three are all dark faced). All their wing feathers are a similar grey color so far and the legs are all the same on each. One does have a small downward curved tail growing in but the rest are like the one in the pic.
I can't tell if the form is right or if these are really EEs. It looks rumpless and I think it has the tufts but I'm not quite sure what a muff and beard look like on a chick either. What are your opinions? Can someone please critique the chick so I know if I am looking at the right characters or not? Thanks very much! Either way they are pets and I love em anyway. I think they're pretty regardless but am curious what I should be calling them properly.
