Araucana thread anyone?

Mine came on Thursday. I ordered 14, but opted to get tailed extras instead of no extras (that way, worst case scenario I still had blue layers I could sell). St run, and still have to get a head count and see if they're tailed and/or tufted. At least 1 has just 1 tuft

So out of twelve eggs, I tossed two clear and two are still in the incubator. One looks like it might hatch, and the other looks like it won't. I have eight chicks. I don't see tufts on any of them. How early do you see tufts?

Well a non-tufted cock over tufted hens should have thrown some tufts I'd think.

Maybe you just had poor luck this time? I don't know the odds of tufted vs nontufted

They still carry a gene for tufted though, right? So if I breed them together I should get tufts?

no. either they are tufted or not. only tufted birds can produce tufted chicks.
