Araucana thread anyone?

Anyone know wht this little dude's head is like this? He kinda looks like he burned his fluff off but he was like this since day 2

His siblings all have completely fluff covered heads

I will add other than his face looking like ET, he's healthy. Big tufts too so far

So, is this the difference between partial and complete rumpless? I have one hen that certainly doesn't have a tail, but she does have some back feathers that are sticking out like she should have a tail. I added pics of some rumpless looking ones for comparison

I am not an expert but this looks like bad rumpless to me. the tail bone is completely missing. I had a partially rumpless araucana mix. she had a 3-4 feathers tail (a tail bone partially developed).

She has the same cushion look that her siblings all do, but she also has those straight long feathers

those feathers don't grow from the part where tail bone would be. not sure if that is called partially tailed. I see some side feathers.

I hope someone who knows better will chime in.

Okay. I guess it doesn't really matter, since she'd going to someone who just wants the blue eggs, so she won't be used to breed. I just happened to notice it while banding the boys I wanted to keep longer than the others

How's Araucana world going? Me? No luck this Spring/Fall. The AR guy I've been trying to get eggs/chicks last 2 years is finally putting AR pens together (he didnt hatch much due to covid). However, hatch rate hasn't been good, but at least I'm on his waitlist. For the time being, got myself some hatchery BCM and some local self blue AMs. They're a little 1 week. CA currently has a crazy heat wave this week. Last few days have been as high as 115. Today was 110. It's supposed to drop down after this weekend.
