Araucana thread anyone?

) has called to offer a double tufted, rumples splash rooster.

I really don't think I could be any happier right now.

Just Steve and Rob this time. I always have people come up who are interested in the breed, but they usually change their mind once they hear how hard it is to get those cute little tufts.

We're always interested in the breed but unfortunately cannot breed where we live.

So we're just the admirers...

So, I won some Lavender araucana hatching eggs on eBay, from Hink-Jc lines (not that they would come from any other lines since that is where they originated!). I wonder if the listing wasn't really noticed since I was the only bidder so I won it low? They had 100% feedback, and other previous sales of lavender araucana eggs ended with a MUCH higher price. Not that I'm upset or anything

lets hope it ends well, I absolutely LOVE lavender colored fowl.

I have lavender eggs due to hatch on the 22nd. I will keep my fingers crossed that we both have great hatches!!

anyone in Mississippi, Louisiana, Florida or anywhere wants to drive to south Mississippi. I have to rehome All my birds Araucana. I have about 60. I have bred some pretty nice ones and have about 20 more chicks now. There are a few more that need culling.
Been trying to get better but had bladder cancer pop up, siad they got it all on the 7th. Dr called today and I need surgery again and reoccurance is highly probable to bladder as well as kidneys. Neck surgery was post pone due to bladder but is reset for the 28th.
PM me if interested or leave me your number if you want to talk to me. it is not long distance for me. There is no way they can be shipped due to the heat here

It happen to me once as well - I was the only person to bid on Marans eggs. It was sort of freaky because I had been trying to win from that buyer for weeks but never could get the last bid in. Good luck with your hatch. Gary just sent me to e-bay the other day to look at his egg auctions. It's been a really, really long time since I've been on there. I saw a number of Araucana breeders auctioning eggs and a few of them look really nice. I was pleasantly surprised.
