I would give him a shot.

That is definately a boy chick. Nice looking too. What is his breeding do you know?

I just ordered 7- 3 stall shippers from horizon. I have spent the last 3 weeks researching everyones price including shipping on poultry shipping boxs and found that when purchased in bulk horizon was the cheapest. If you do order from them don't do it online, call and talk to George because many times you will get a better freight quote. I save almost $30.00 on shipping the boxs to me by calling directly. As I was looking around, many places were cheaper on the individual shipping boxs but the freight to me was outrageous, or the freight was cheaper but the boxs were more expensive.

Now to get 6 trios ready to ship. Whew! It will be so nice to have that many birds gone at one time. I have so many chicks that someone could call the TV show hoarders on me and do a 2 hour special.

I still have a couple of pairs available if anyone is interested. These are starter birds and not show quality but you will get a tufted bird in the pair.

Well since you will be shipping keep me in mind for any of your BBR birds (I know you are not selling them) but if you ever decide to that is my fav!

The gal purchased hatching eggs from someone named Yanmar on ebay. She said she wanted some females and only hatched this one male.

On the other hand I have been WANTING a solid black clean faced male and got 3 double tufted females. Go figure lol

So nice to know - I would never have thought to call. I have some pullets to ship in about a month and I am so nervous about it!! 6 TRIOS!!!!!!! That is phenomenal - just think of how much less feed you are going to go through!!

0% chance.

Blue Wheatens are solid yellow, that chick has a blue stripe as if duckwing or duckwing based. That honestly looks like a Splash or very very light blue Duckwing. GORGEOUS chick by the way!

Nope, he looks splash based on wild type is my guess because he has the typical chipmonk head strip but it is just faint. I would think if it is a roo it will have some leakage in the wings as an adult, but Illia might have a better idea.
