Araucana thread anyone?

I thought the same. Odd color for a cockerel but there is more color on the comb too. I'm thinking cockerel and I'll pair him with a couple of clean faced pullets when I sell him.

The color is fairly appropriate for a silver duckwing roo with the columbian gene.

It is beautiful.

Looking for some Araucana eggs to put in my incubator. Anyone got some they would like to sell?
Mr Ramey ships two batches of hatching eggs each week that are sold at auction on eBay. He lists his eggs and ships each Tuesday.

I'm guessing roo because of the body posturering. Roo have the upright neck like they are crowing or on the lookout and hens have their necks down close to their bodies like they are setting on eggs.

I went out last night to close up birds and fill feeders and found the tufted chick dead so it looks like I might be looking for a tufted bird later this fall, would prefer BBR but could also use cuckoo

Are Aracanas often "peckish"?. My girl seems to be jealous of the tufts/beards on my Favorelles and is dead set on plucking them. Thre poor Favs are so passive, they just sit there and let her do it. I am trying Vicks on their necks, but I am afraid she has a bad habit. Any suggestions?

Ahahaha, yea, Puddin Fluff, I'd say they are. Mine go after each others tufts from time to time, they are relentless like they are jealous of the other bird's tufts or something.
