I have some araucanas that I thought were really EE's, now I'm not sure. I was able to get pictures of two and would like input from those that know the true araucana breed.

(I know, not the best picture of the second one)

That's what I was thinking but when I saw that they weren't developing tails I started to wonder.

Look to be EE . I think one has a tail and may be starting to get short tail feathers , the other I can't see . Araucanas are completely rumpless ; the vertebrae end before they form a tail . I have two EE without tail feathers at approaching three weeks and one's wing feathers are also shorter than the others ; they're just slower feathering than the rest I have . Even if your second chick is rumpless , it's muffs rule out pure Araucana .

I believe EE's are crosses with Ameraucana and/or Araucana. EE's dont have their own breed standards like the Ameraucana and the Araucana do. They just have some of their characteristics.
