I saw a picture today of a buff Orpington that was labeled boy and made me wonder if 2 of my hens may actual be roosters. So thought I would ask. I really hope they aren't. sorry these pictures might not be the best. I can take more tomorrow.

Maddie which we were told was a red sex linked. She is 3 mths old

Those first two pics don't even look like the same bird. In the first pic... looks like a roo, 2nd pic looks like a pullet.

If the birds are all the same age in the two lower pics, you may have a BO roo. If the BO is older than the others around it, then I'd say pullet.

They are the same bird in the first 2 pics but taken about a week apart. The top pic is the newest.
Same with the last 2 pics of the other bird. The top pic is about a week newer then the second pic.

(I will take some more pics tomorrow)

The Red-Sex Link is definitly a roo because of the large wattles and he has the Red-Sex Link roo color. Google Image Red-Sex Link hen and then Google Image Red-Sex Link rooster and you'll see what I mean

I think the BO is also a roo because at 12 weeks, those are some pretty large and red wattles.

If that third chicken (Mary) is a red sex-link, I'm pretty sure it's a girl.
