Are 22 chickens too much for one Roo?

I had 1 roo with 20 hens one time.

he "worked" himself to death. It took me 10 minutes to bury him after taking 3 days to get the smile off his face...

id say get another roo if possible.

that is too funny!! i could imagine my girls would say: "you know, i saw you with that barred rock yesterday. how could you do that to me? i told you she stole my worm yesterday and she hogs my nest when i want to use it. don't you listen to what i tell you?" now repeat 20 times.​

we have over 20 girls with our one roo and there are NO PROBLEMS. And we hatch eggs from the girls and have good luck most the time. Most the eggs I crack open are fertile, so He is making his rounds, and none of his girls have ever been hurt by him. I think you will have no problems. You don't need another roo.
