Are 5 week old chicks too young to be outside overnight?

Hey all, I need help! Our little girls have really outgrown their brooder an we have not built the new coop yet, and don't have a ton if space in the current run for a grow out pen. I have pallets and x-pen panels and chicken wire to fashion a temporary grow out pen to use until we can get the new coop built but am wondering if they are too young to be moved outside? I live in central California,,,,,our daytime highs are in the 80s and 90s and overnight lows range in the high 40s to the low 60s.....averaging in the 54-57 range.

If they are completely feathered, then yes, they can stay out. But, keep them in a safe in closer!

Mine have going out to the barn at 4 weeks this time of year and we're not as warm as you. As long as they have deep straw or bedding to snuggle down into, they're more than fine. It's nice weather and they'll appreciate being out. No additional heat needed either.
