Are all chicks vaccinated

$40 it looks like.

Suggest you familiarize yourself with your State's website.

You should probably check your local zoning ordinances, too, while you are doing your research.

and locally, there's supposedly a shortage of one of the test reagents, getting it thru the State was the only available supply, I've heard. Atypically for me, I can't provide a link to source that, its just a rumor I'm reporting.

You can find it at TSC. They ship, too.

Do you mean brooder bedding? Wood chips are very rarely used as brooder bedding. Usually it's pine shavings. They don't usually come into contact with soil, not enough to be a problem anyway, plus they're very dry, and dryness inhibits the spread of the protozoa. Chicks brooded indoors on pine shavings are fine.
Yes, I mean pine shavings. I've had many cases of Coccidiosis in my 3 weeks olds that's never been outside. Had one really severe case last year where I had to treat them twice.

Once in the brooder, & once when moved outside at 6-7 weeks.

Did you feed them medicated starter? Maybe that's why they recommend feeding them medicated starter right away, from hatch, all the way until they've been outside for a month, just to cover all your bases. I guess theoretically anything can be contaminated from outside...

No I don't feed Medicated feed since it doesn't contain enough Amprolium for prevention.
