Are all hens like this?

Yeppers...it's a hen thing.

I have one hen missing a large chunk of comb (nest fight) and have seen one hen lay an egg ON TOP of another hen already in the nest and another time, the hen was taking her head and shoving it under the other hens butt trying to kick her out of the nest. When we built the larger coop, we built two community nests, so when they fight over the nest, there is plenty of room to share. No bloody combs in a year!

Just the other day, one of our EE hens had her heart set on a particular spot in the nesting area. Unfortunately for her, so did a Penedesenca hen who's dominant over her. She made repeated attempts to get her spot back, but the Pen girl aggressively refused to budge. Rather than moving to another spot, she ended up laying her egg outside. By the time I came back out, some of the other girls were in the process of eating it.
