Are all pellets this friable? Your experiences, please.

you know, I have bought the purina crumble. First bag was much more broken down and my chicks would go mad for it. This batch is more like the name indicates, crumbles, and they don't appear near as interested in it.

Same stuff too.

I've always had a good response when I phone Purina directly. Try (636) 742-6100 or (800) 227-8941. Or see if there's another number printed on your bag of Flock Raiser.

Theyre closed on the weekends, I called this morning.

It's not a big deal anymore, I'm going with Blue Seal. It's on the way home from work anyway and it is sold at an independent farm supply store versus Aubuchon Hardware, a chain. I feel better about it all around.

Well, he is quite majestic looking. and he looks out of his element with those chickens.

i have a miniature dachshund, a longhair (although she is not as longhair as she could be! shhh dont tell her)
and when she goes on alert, that rat looking tail stands straight up in the air.
quite a sight. she thinks she is in charge. all ten pounds of her.
