Are Ameracauna eggs always"Tinted"?

If Ameracaunas have been mixed (breeding) so much from the original Aracauna, then I'm wondering what the chances are of my Ameracauna laying brown eggs? Is this possible? She's around 21-22 weeks old and I've still not gotten a green/blue egg although I do get small brown ones that I think are all from my young Barred Rock.

You've got your Ameraucanas mixed up with EE's.
True Ameraucanas will lay blue eggs, and they do not come from Auraucanas.
EE's are usually descended either from Ameraucanas or Araucanas (which is why they carry the blue egg gene), but they could lay brown eggs, depending on what else is in their background. Some Easter Eggers will lay eggs which may have a brown pigment overlayed over the blue, although the closer they are to Ameraucana in their background, the more likely they are to lay blue-green eggs.

I bought these from the feed store back in March as "Aracauna Pullets" but I knew they weren't true Aracaunas so I thought maybe they were Ameracaunas. My one pullet-turned-rooster looks just like the roo in that website you provided Susan. I believe it was called a Blue Wheaten Ameracauna.

So, it is probably more likely that mine did descend from Ameracauna? Is there any way to pinpoint more of what they are?

Is EE short for something?

You have EE's or Easter Eggers. They are a mixed breed chicken that may or may not lay blue colored eggs. Ameraucana and Araucana are 2 distinctly different breeds and you can learn more about them by visiting the Araucana Club site and the Ameraucana Breeders Club site.

Edited to add: an Ameraucana is NOT a mixed breed chicken. Araucana were used to create the Ameraucana but the Ameraucana is an APA (American Poultry Association) and ABA (American Bantam Association) accepted breed with its own standard of perfection.

EE's are NOT an APA or ABA accepted breed and has no standard of which to be judged by. So yes your EE can and is laying brown eggs and will always lay brown eggs.

If you want true Ameraucana or Araucana then you must purchase them from a reputable breeder and preferably one who is a member of his or hers respective breeds club.

Thanks for the links; they've been interesting and informative. Yesterday I got two small brown eggs instead of 1 so I'm pretty sure my "EE" is laying brown because she and my Barred Rock are the only two due to start laying right now. I was really looking forward to blue eggs so I'm a little disappointed...I do have 3 more EE's coming in 2 weeks. Maybe better luck with them. Now I'm curious as to how they were advertised though.

Okay, I just checked my order from Ideal and I have 2 (instead of 3 as previously mentioned) "Ameraucanas" ordered. So, those of you who have dealt with Ideal, am I getting Ameraucanas or Easter Eggers?

I got some EE's from Ideal. They are beautiful. I got my first egg from them yesterday, and it was a beautiful green blue color.
