I agree buff orpington. That is why the buff ameraucanas are broody they have alot of orpington blood.

My bantam buff ameraucana are super broody girls. They are so stubborn and sooo cute when they get broody.

Of course, my araucana are great broodies as well. I have 4 right now and we're dropping to single digits again. They're nuts! I keep telling them it's too cold for babies, but my one girl has stripped her chest bald and sitting on air anyways. Last year I let my one black araucana hatch out wild eastern turkeys for me. Now that was a sight. She loved them so much..it was just darling to see a mama chicken talking to baby turkeys.

man araucanas and ameraucanas are like our silkies but they sound cute like our silkies our one silkie hen before she hatched the chicks out I would visit her for a while so when the chicks hatched she didn't mind me getting near them
