Are Australorps' normally skittish?

Every bird is different, but I do think Australorps tend to be skittish. We had two that were really skittish and wouldn't let us near them, but I will say they would just mind themselves and never bothered anyone. I wouldn't get Australorps again though, they're definitely not one of my favorite breeds.
I have one black australorp and she is very skittish and is the only one out of 7 chickens that will not eat from my hand. She wants no part of me. She is so skittish.

While I like my BR's and LO's more it's nothing against my baby dragons. I do think that the young ones act really skittish at first but now I have ones that follow me around to be pet and one of my favorite chickens ever was a blind black austrolrp. I also think they're really smart and learn fast.

I have three BAs. None of them are lap chickens. Two of them have gotten on my lap for treats, but if I reach to pet them, they get down. One is the first to the gate when I come to the run, and she will come up to me in the run. The other one is more skittish, and the third is quite timid. All will take treats from my hand. I'm hoping to get them a little more friendly, but if this is as close as they get, I'm ok with that. I thank them for the eggs and the poop.
