Are bantam breeds better suited for indoor setups?

The FB groups that I (briefly) joined are also worried about the welfare of chickens, extremely so. Like they rearrange their homes and lives to accommodate a chicken 24/7, schedule playdates and such. I had serious concerns about the mental health of some of these people, and had to leave lest I become a "debbie downer".
Yeah, I had a look at one of those FB groups, and then quickly backed away. I remember a comment saying that when it came to letting chickens live inside, 4000 people (the members of that group) couldn't be wrong. Well sure they could. Much larger groups have been wrong about any number of things.

Still, I don't think it's being a debbie downer to give realistic feedback even if someone doesn't welcome it.

If someone doesn't welcome it, they're not gonna listen anyway. IMO "feedback" is better received when it comes from other people who have chosen that type of life, because they have spent time thinking about constructive solutions. Unfortunately it becomes an echo chamber in those groups, but that's true of everything on the internet.

Unsolicited advice is often not welcomed. But people post questions actively looking for feedback. I think there are plenty of people on here are capable of hearing a dissenting view without getting bent out of shape.

Right but these people are literally asking for feedback. Then taking it personally. It’s like me feeding my chicken gummy worms then starting a thread asking how to help my sick chicken and getting offended when people tell me chickens need to eat a balanced chicken feed. If you ask for help and are offended when it’s offered then it’s probably not help you’re looking for. But if you start a thread about your house chicken and post stories about your personal experience that is a different thing altogether.

That’s my two cents. I feel like we’re going in circles. I will leave the idea here and maybe someone will come across it and take it up. Or come up with a better one that ends the cycle.

My ex-husband left the field of veterinary medicine in part because people would feed their dogs things that were terrible for them and then bring them to them over and over to make them well again. They would absolutely refuse to follow his suggestions to not feed them crap.
