Hi, BYC! I am a new member, but I have always benefitted from your threads from the sidelines. I am signed on to your email notifications for new threads. I am into turkey farming and I would like to know if BBW turkeys can hatch their own eggs and are they good. They are around 7-8 weeks old now. Although I bought them as poults to rear for meat so they were all supposed to be males, but I realised about two have smaller snoods and overall body size amongst them so I realised they were actually girls and not boys all through. Your answer is much appreciated. Thanks. Kalunga

Thank you so much, man. Very much appreciated! I hope to learn a lot of knowledge that will contribute immensely to the growth and success of my little turkey farm. Kalunga. 🤩🤩🤩

They can lay eggs, and may try to brood, but they will be to heavy and crush the eggs. However if you cross them with a heritage tom, and incubate it should work.
Okay, cool! So what would be the resulting turkey characteristics? Could it also be as huge as the BBW? Thanks.
