are bird berries poisonous???

not sure if this is the right place but i have "bird berries" in my run and was wondering if they were harmful to chickens...

sorry i cant get a pic right now but they are the big bushes that grow little berries that turn orange...

Chickens seem pretty conscious of what they eat. Are you familiar with Deadly Nightshade? (I hope so) My chickens would gore down the ripe DN berries, but left the un-ripened ones alone. No one got sick, no one died. Just happy.

If you chickens were absolutely starving they may eat the berries, but since they are smart animals, I doubt they would eat them.
