Hi all!
I was wondering if black sex links are nice. I would like a bird that I can handle and bond with. Thanks!

Yes, mostly.
However, if you want a teddy bear breed that still lays very well, go with Easter Eggers (blue/green eggs) or Buff Orps, (creamy tan, quite lovely birds.).
Here are pics of my EEs,

And my Buff Orpington.

Are black sex links good egg layers?
Yes. But, breeds like Leghorns lay 300-350 eggs a year, whereas BSLs lay 200-280.
Sexlinks often die early. They have lots of reproductive issues and have a short lifespan, so if you want sweet, pet like birds go with a pure breed.

Are there any nice birds that I can get all females out of the gate with?

Breeds like Bielefelders (Brown eggs) and Crested Cream Legbars (blue eggs!) are what’s called autosexing. Not Sexlinks, but the male and female chicks always looks different. And Barred Rocks, (females are used to make BSLs) they also look different was chicks, but it isn’t quite autosexing to the extent of the two mentioned before.
